Walk for Hope
A benefit for the orphanages and children of China
Each year, our FBWC families and friends gather to raise money with a walk for the children that live in the orphanages of China. Over the past nine years, FBWC has raised over $100,000 that has funded surgeries, nutrition programs and foster care and purchased clothing, medical equipment and needed supplies.
Walk for Hope 2008
Saturday, June 7th
Loose Park
51st and Wornall
Check-in begin at 9am and then at 9:30am, we'll host our own Kid Olympics in honor of Beijing 2008. At 10:30am, we'll begin the WALK around Loose Park. Strollers, wagons, scooters, etc. are welcome for the kids! Join us for a pancake brunch after the Walk at 11am. It's a family event that raises money for the orphanages of China *and* is a lot of fun!
Registration for the event is available on-line at www.walkforhope.eventbrite.com
Your registration fee includes T-shirt, activities and brunch and covers all costs of the event so that 100% of donations will go directly to China and to help the kids. You can pay via PayPal, credit card or mail in a check. If you prefer not to register on-line, please contact Jenoys Usher.

Once you register, download a handy pledge sheet and donation receipts at www.familiesblessed.org/newsletter/wfhpledgesheet.doc . Ask friends,co-workers and family to sponsor you on the Walk and make a donation. Families Blessed with the World's Children is 501(c)3 non-profit organization so donations are tax-deductible and 100% of donations go to the children in China.

You can also request a "donation e-mail" that you can customize and forward on to family and friends via e-mail asking them to sponsor the Walk for Hope by e-mailing Jenoys.
